Settled debt may be reported to the IRS as Discharge of Indebtedness income and client may be taxed for the forgiven debt. Direct client to tax advisor. You may cancel at any time and will not be required to pay service fees after cancellation. Provide applicable state laws and disclosures. CESI cannot guarantee credit status with creditor. Plan will likely have an adverse effect on credit report and score. CESI cannot guarantee any specific results for participating in the program, including creditor acceptance and concessions. You authorize CESI to communicate with creditors on client’s behalf. Missed or untimely payments will result in you being dropped from the program and creditors will proceed with collection activity. You are responsible for any accounts not included on the program.
